A WORK OF ART
A reflection on the artist’s own work, mirrored in a dialogue involving three secondhand characters. Together they make an honest evaluation of the artwork to reveal the harsh truth.
Some memories exist in a borderland. They fill your thoughts; you’re gripped by a sensation of the unreal — “did that really happen?” Snow is about a mother and her son, driving a short distance. She suddenly, unexpectedly, takes a wrong turn.
Erinra (Memory) is a film about identity, migration, and love through a young man’s experiences.

In a sculptural twilight existence made up of the personal childhood nightmares and hallucinations of artist Åsa Ersmark, a witch abuses a defenceless girl from the age of four until puberty. The girl moves from nightmare to reality and to the edge of death.
Sarah is invited to show her film in Israel as part of a film festival bus trip. She is hoping for political discussions and friendship, but the conversation stops every time she brings up the occupation of Palestine. So, instead, Sarah talks to her dead father over a noisy phone line.
