In her most recent works, Sonia makes an effort to explore people’s inner lives, women’s social and personal issues, shame, and struggles with their deepest fears through different art forms and media. Juan Fran Jacinto mainly studied sculpture. He has also worked in the art department on Spanish films and commercials. Carla Pereira studied Fine Arts at the University of San Carlos in Valencia, alongside illustration and stop motion. She has notably worked on Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, amongst other stop motion productions.

It’s a hot summer day in suburban South Africa. Mthunzi is on his way back from the supermarket, bags in hand. He happens upon a scene in which a woman, Charity, has just started having a seizure outside of a house. Charity’s niece, Patricia, beckons towards Mthunzi to help carry Charity inside. It is here he enters into a world where he does not belong.

Tebogo Malebogo was born in the UK and raised in Canada, Kenya, and South Africa. He is interested in exploring what it means to be a first-generation African born abroad and characters who wrestle with a need to belong.
