The neon signs of the Psychics cut through the darkness. They beckon, like temples of a secular religion promising guidance through the confusion that is life. A lost soul stumbles through a world where no one seems to take notice. Inhabitants of the small shard of society where everything is suspended in limbo. In search of belonging. To be defined is to be erased, a new beginning.

Tova Mozard, b 1978, holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy and has also studied photography at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has produced numerous solo exhibitions featuring both still photography and film throughout Sweden and internationally. ZLATAN IN THE SLOPES
The snow falls on the ski slope while Zlatan is dragging a snow-blind lady. “Madam, what’s your plan?” he shouts, “You are heavy!” One of the worlds biggest sports stars has gone away on a ski vacation, but it doesn’t turn out the way he expected. This movie is about what can happen when our given prerequisites change and get replaced by new rules of the game.

Monne Lindström, b 1963 in Karlstad, received a degree in Graphic Design from Högskolan för Design och Konsthantverk in Gothenburg in 1989. An applicant. A jury. The most prestigious film school. An admission test where you balance a stick on your finger. Based on true events, the film is a dark comedy about an artist expected to market herself, and an interview conducted as an exercise of power.

Jonatan Etzler graduated from Stockholms Dramatiska Högskola in 2018. The same year, his film Get Ready with Me, won the Student Academy Award for International Narrative. Robert Melo, b 1985, is a director and producer at Kojan Film in Norrköping. He studied Screenwriting at Brobygrafiska and Documentary Filmmaking at Biskops Arnö. This is their first film as co-directors.
Shortly after giving birth, young Dani feels the need to escape from her destructive relationship with Robert, the child’s father. When Robert comes to visit them and Dani’s hysterical mother in a Stockholm suburb, leaving his career unattended in London, things start to go from bad to worse.

Educated at Gothenburg Academy of Music and Drama, she has since acted in multiple films and TV productions. Disa recently won first prize in a pitch competition at Stockholm International Film Festival with her upcoming short film, The Lido (in pre-production).
CAN’T SHINE WITHOUT YOU MY BROTHERS
In the course of a year Yahya loses three brothers. To survive the sorrow he has built a hut in the forest. There he can live out his fantasies and meet them again. Yahya gets one last chance to talk to them, touch them, capture them, carry them, and be carried by them. The film is a poetic depiction that, from a child’s perspective, narrates fatal shootings and male norms.

Alexander Abdallah received a degree in Acting at Teaterhögskolan in Malmö in 2018. He is currently a member of the Malmö Stadsteater ensemble. This is his debut film.
