In Niki Lindroth von Bahr’s animations she has created her own modern fables. With a gallery of animals such as rabbits visiting the public pools, monkeys working at a call centre, and a snail at the doctor’s office, she provides a mirror for recognition of human frailty and anxiety, coupled with humour. In Niki Lindroth von Bahr’s master class we will get an insight into her long and creative process with stop motion animation.

Artist and animator Niki Lindroth von Bahr studied at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm, receiving an MA in 2016. Her award-winning shorts have been screened around the world. Since its premiere in 2017, The Burden has won 82 awards, including the Cristal for Best Short Film in Annecy, Best International Short Film in Toronto and the Guldbagge for Best Short Film. Niki is also a costume designer and has worked with artists such as Fever Ray and David Bowie.
